Vote while rejecting humiliation
In the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed is elected as President of the State, succeeding his late father. The news, even if it was expected, established positive echoes in the Gulf, Arab countries and the world.
The man is a visionary and is qualified to complete the role played by his predecessors and to develop the future pioneering Emirati experience. In Lebanon, we’re waiting for the people to say their word tomorrow, with the hope that this word would be resounding and carry something new to the country and the citizens. People are tired of everything. First, they are tired of humiliation and standing in line at banks and in front of automated teller machines. There are also tired of queuing and waiting for hours in front of gas stations, bakeries and pharmacies. People are tired of the lack of electricity, water cuts, and internet cuts. People are tired of the poverty that was imposed on them, and the humiliation that struck them like a thunderbolt.
The most important thing is that people are tired of the non-state, but rather the absence of a legitimate state in exchange for the existence of an illegal state that does everything and allows everything.
Out of the fatigue and humiliation that govern your lives, dear Lebanese, your country needs you and the electoral duty is calling you. Answer the call tomorrow and participate massively in the entitlement. Your voices are our legitimate weapon to prevail.
