No Capital Control before elections!

Mockery, is the only word that summarizes what happened in the House of Representatives between yesterday and today. The joint committees were called to the meeting on the basis of approving the Capital Control Law in preparation for submitting it to the parliament’s general assembly next week. However, it turned out that a good number of deputies did not want to approve the Capital Control in its current form, why? For two main reasons. The first is that the Capital Control Law is being studied apart from a comprehensive financial plan and a full economic vision, which is wrong, for how can the part be approved before the whole? The second matter is that the Capital Control in its current form is completely unfair to the people, i.e. to the depositors whose money has been blown by winds of Mikati’s government and some parliamentary blocs. What is important is that the two parliamentary rounds between yesterday and today, came to a definite conclusion: There is no approval of the Capital Control Law, before the parliamentary elections. This is how the duo Amal-Hezbollah, backed by the Socialist and the remnants of the Future Bloc, failed to pass the law, leaving the matter pending until after May 15. So what will the Mikati government do, which came to power under the slogan of salvation, and has so far failed to achieve one step on the path to salvation? This scene makes the upcoming parliamentary elections pivotal. Therefore, dear Lebanese: your country needs you, and the electoral duty is calling you. Participated massively in the upcoming parliamentary elections, as “your votes are our legitimate weapon, so we can “extract” them and prevail.”
