Gebran Bassil: “Beating a Dead Horse!”

Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri tired of Gibran Bassil’s demands, so he decided to call the parliament to convene, in order to elect a president, a vice president, and the parliament’s bureau body.

The unsurprising decision was issued after Berri realized that he was being subjected to a major blackmail operation by the head of the Free Patriotic Movement. Bassil’s extortion was not limited to the parliament structure only, but extended to include the government structure, including the president and members, and even the presidency.

Of course, Berri did not like it, so he decided to radically change the roles, and no longer cares about the number of votes, and whether he will succeed with an absolute majority, that is, half the number of parliament members plus one, or a relative majority.
The important thing is for him to return to the seat of the second presidency, especially since the vacuum is knocking on the doors, whether at the level of the first presidency or at the governmental level.

According to Berri’s calculations, what he lost in the number of votes may be compensated for in the importance of the role, especially since in the event of the vacuum expansion, he will be the only elected president and the one who has no end. It is a realistic tactic adopted by Berri, so Gebran Bassil lost the possibility of making any gains, whether at the governmental level or at the presidential level.

Will Bassil one day learn from his mistakes and give up his losing tactics in most cases, or as the saying goes: “Knock Mi Mi”!
