Storm Greta is more merciful to Lebanon than its politicians!

Storm Greta did its job in Lebanon, and it continues until the end of the next week. If the circumstances were normal, Greta would be a blessing for Lebanon. But the problem is that the polar storm has come during the worst economic and social conditions. Fuel prices reached record high, which has turned the lives of the Lebanese into hell, even in the midst of the cold. Imagine that entire families are deprived of heating in this icy stormy weather! Everything is expensive. Starting from electricity, if it is available, to diesel, and even to firewood.

But despite the “cruelty” of Greta, it remains more merciful than the ruling system. At least it will not last more than a week, while the current class has been ruling the state for more than thirty years now. And if Greta made the Lebanese feel cold and frosty, the pillars of the system damaged a whole republic. And the last of their tricks is their return to trying to postpone the elections, whether by means of the megacentre that has fallen, or by saying that there is no money yet to hold the elections! And the last of their tricks is their repeated attempts to postpone the elections, whether by means of the megacentre that has fallen, or by saying that there is no money yet to hold it! This surprising statement is not our invention. Rather, the President of the Republic said clearly it in front of his visitors in Baabda. Is there any logic in what the president said?

In conclusion, we only have two solutions. If the president is maneuvering by saying this, that is a catastrophe. If he was telling the truth, the catastrophe would be even bigger. Then he and all officials must make a historic decision, which is the request to declare Lebanon a failed state. Why surprised? Failed leaders and presidents can only lead the country to complete bankruptcy and great failure!
