In today’s news bulletin:
In point of fact, how shameless are our rulers and politicians! French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian is calling the President of the Republic, the Speaker of Parliament, and the Prime Minister-designate to express his regret for the months-long disruption in the file of government formation. Worst news affirmed that Le Drian sent a clear warning to the officials. Moreover, the statement issued by his office mentioned that the French Foreign Ministry put European partners after seven months of blocking the path of solutions at a moment when tighten pressure are required to be implemented. This means that our rulers will be subjected to European sanctions in the event of failing to achieve the interest of the Lebanese people and if their solutions are not up to people’s expectations. Is there any more intense humiliation than this? Shouldn’t we understand that French talks affirm that the international community treats our rulers as a professor treats students at school? Don’t forget your homework, otherwise….! When did our rulers and politicians lower themselves to such a level?
Let us wonder what world’s officials say about them or about us, about them because they are irresponsible and drown in an inch of water. About us, because we are content to remain ruled by semi-leaders, to stay submissive to such a regime.
At present, we continue to be distracted by the tragedy. What is the number of ministers, who are they, information regarding their background, and any blocking third this time? But when it comes to President Aoun, he does not want Prime Minister Hariri for the government, and he didn’t even intend to assign Hariri for the position. However, due to binding parliamentary consultations that forced him to appoint Hariri as PM-designate, in return, Hariri would rather avoid holding any dialoge with the president of the republic, and avoid any contact with the head of the Free Patriotic Movement, Gebran Bassil as well.
At the end, it looks like a small conflict is about to end the great Lebanon, so will semi-leaders wake up before it is too late? Or that destiny is determined and the Titanic will sink with its passengers, because those responsible to steer it are stubborn, losers and corrupt?
