A brief of today’s news bulletin:
The slogan of the current situation in Lebanon: Search for Iranian fuel!
Hezbollah’s Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah has confirmed that the Iranian fuel would arrive in Lebanon through a convoy of ships. This news has totally disrupted the political atmosphere and affected the process of forming the government. According to sources, the Prime Minister-designate confessed before political figures he met that the Iranian ships had negatively impacted the formation process and said: “Lebanon is the country of surprises, that suddenly emerge.”
It is obvious that Mikati’s movement has become governed by the navigation of Iranian ships. As he didn’t visit Baabda Palace since last Thursday. Sources confirmed that he would visit the President today, but the visit was postponed. Thus, the PM-designate is now battling on three fronts: The Covenant team, the Club of Former Prime Ministers, and Hezbollah, the legitimate representative of Wilayat Al Faqih in Lebanon.
Therefore, can anyone who is fighting on all these difficult and dangerous fronts form a government? Mikati is continuing his efforts to form a government. According to Sawt Beirut International information, communications with the President of the Republic and his team take place through an intermediary.
The PM-designate decided to change the game rules, and he will continue to negotiate with the mediator until the image becomes clearer. If talks resulted in an agreement to bypass the principle of the blocking third, he will visit Baabda Palace to finalize the agreement with the President of the Republic, and announce the birth of the government. But if they failed to agree, Mikati will visit Baabda to apologize.
Will we witness before the end of this month the birth of the expected government? Or the Iranian diesel along with the blaze of the blocking third are enough to burn every government lineup?
