Don’t let Hezbollah take control of Lebanon!
Lebanon is ruled by Hezbollah. And for those who do not believe, all they have to do is recall what the party did in the southern suburbs of Beirut with the Bahraini Al-Wefaq Society, an anti-regime group. Despite the fact that the aforementioned association was dissolved in Bahrain owing to allegations of terrorism, the ruling party in Lebanon provided it with moral, political, and logistical support to hold its conference in Beirut. As a result, the Lebanese capital was once again used to criticize the authorities in Manama for human rights violations.
Is it reasonable for an association dissolved in a brotherly Arab country to hold a conference in Lebanon with the knowledge of the Lebanese authorities? One should say: The Lebanese authority were not notified about the conference. In this case, the matter is more horrific, for how can a self-respecting state allow a statelet to control its decision and everything that happens on its lands? Thus, have the “rulers” in the southern suburbs become stronger than the rulers in the Republican and governmental palaces and in the Ministry of Interior?
Khaled Machaal, the chief of Hamas’ political department, emerged as soon as the Bahraini Al-Wefaq page was turned. Machaal’s visit was notable in that it was not conducted in secret, but rather publicly, and he met with a number of government authorities in Lebanon, all of whom were subjected to media scrutiny. Do these officials not comprehend that Hamas is a proscribed terrorist organization that is supported by Iran, and that having its leaders in Lebanon hurts Lebanon’s Arab and international image?
In brief, every evidence suggests that the Lebanese government is incapable of making independent decisions and that the country is controlled by Hezbollah. If you are truly responsible, do not allow Hezbollah to dominate Lebanon!
