Sawt Beirut International’s News Bulletin – Feb. 18, 2021

In today’s news bulletin:

  • Meat is becoming expensive because of the delaying in delivering livestock to butcheries, waiting for support money
  •  Lebanon is in Arab and international isolation, and the Lebanese people are hostages to a single party
  • The birth of the first child in France from a transplanted womb, and the doctor is of Lebanese origin

The dollar continues to rise crazily and people continue to fall. Fuel inflames the pockets of citizens with a weekly increase, and electricity is almost cut off in most areas. Even the capital, Beirut, which was better than others in terms of rationing, is sharing its suffering with other regions.

Many medicines are missing from the markets and major hospitals are sounding the alarm and raising white flags, while the Corona pandemic continues its black painful strikes.

Meat may be cut off from the markets because the Bank du Lebanon is waving to livestock traders to lift subsidies on their purchases. All of this is easy compared to the shocking news. Today, the ruling gang dealt a strong blow to the judiciary through its success in removing Judge Fadi Sawan from investigating the crime of the port. It’s a miniature of our situation. Have you had enough, yet? It is better to stop. What is the benefit of complaining as long as the one you complain to isn’t listening?

What is the complaint benefit as long as our officials are absent from all kinds of responsibility? All the officials today are responsible for our retaliation, from the youngest to the oldest, and all of them means all of them. Some of them sit in the palaces, or the headquarters, and some of them roam the regional and international decision-making capitals. We, as a people, have not taken a single step forward, but are regressing daily and quickly, and there is no one to initiate and move. The bottom line with such officials is that we must be like this situation.

Let us all act before it is too late, because the ruling gang has nothing to lose, and it has put all its weight to strike justice, and has succeeded in that, at least temporarily.

The revolution against the existing reality has become more than necessary.
