Sawt Beirut International’s News Bulletin – Tuesday, July 20, 2021

A brief of tonight’s news bulletin:

  • Will talks kick off on Monday?
  • What exactly is the mysterious “Pegasus” program, and how are politicians and journalists all over the world being spied on?
  • How is Tripoli spending Eid Al-Adha this year, the city that was exhausted by extreme poverty and complete darkness on Eid’s eve?

Eid Mubarak. The holiday forced itself on the political situation and government affairs since people are on vacation. At the very least, there were no discussions, meetings, nor counseling sessions. However, there is a hidden story. Sawt Beirut International has discovered that contact amongst the controlling three did not break down: Hezbollah, Amal Movement and the Free Patriotic Movement, and that this communication has so far led to the achievement of two main things. The first is that Ali Hassan Khalil canceled his press conference, which was scheduled for Sunday. The second issue was a meeting between Gebran Bassil and a Hezbollah delegation, during which the party counseled Bassil to cool down and refrain from taking public stances that would harm the country’s political calm after the tempest of Hariri’s apologies.

In parallel, Hezbollah, Amal, and the Future, the ruling, dominating, and rooted parties, are still trying everything they can to hinder the investigation of the deputies and ministers summoned as defendants by the Judicial Investigator.

What is happening signals a severe issue: Hezbollah, Amal, the Future, and others who will join them later do not want the truth to be revealed, and this reality frightens them, because whomever fears disclosing the truth in such a great crime is either a perpetrator or an accomplice.

To FPM, Amal and Future movements, try to abide by the Judicial decision, otherwise you’ll have to show your own guilt. In this case, you’re not playing with fire; you’re playing with blood, and the victims’ blood will never forgive, and never forget!
