The fuel crisis has not been resolved so far. It is true that oil derivatives have reached the Lebanese coastal, but the importing companies refused to distribute it to gas stations, because they felt unfair about the price schedule, especially after they discovered that the Central Bank did not cover the pledged ten percent.
We are still in the midst of the crisis, and rumors about resolving it was squandered today by the humiliation queues in front of the gas stations. Officials are always late in brining solutions, and when they try to come up with a solution, they complicate the situation instead of resolving it.
The political situation is not better. The Parliament approved the law related to the rationing card along with opening an exceptional credit to finance it. So is this card an “election card”, or a card to steal depositors?
The state’s representatives continue to open exceptional credits without looking forward, therefore, cumulating the deficit. We are living in a state that lacks any short, medium, and long term plans.
On the governmental level, several rumors are being circulated to distract the general public. Hariri will return, and will activate the governmental formation file to determine the situation once and for all.
“Sawt Beirut International” sources said that global decision makers started discussing a new scenario after Hariri’s apology, as they are now keen that the Prime Minister designate will not be able to skip this stage.
Will Hariri actually apologize after he waved twice for this decision, and then retreated at the last minute? What will follow Hariri’s stage? Is it true what is being said that the international choice fell on a Sunni figure from the Former Prime Ministers, and that this figure vowed not to run in the elections because this government will be dedicated for the parliamentary elections?
