According to prepared remarks presented at an industry conference Tuesday, Saudi Aramco CEO Amin Nasser said the “tragic scenario occurring in Ukraine” is exacerbating the global oil crisis.

Speaking at CERAWeek in Houston, Nasser echoed other energy executives in arguing that the crisis exposes politicians’ confusing messages to the oil-and-gas business throughout the energy transition.

“As oil and gas investments are discouraged,” he continued, “demands are being placed on our business to improve production.”
