Carlyle agrees to buy Swiss industrial software firm AutoForm

Carlyle Group announced on Wednesday that it had agreed to buy Swiss industrial software firm AutoForm AG from private equity firm Astorg for an undisclosed sum.

AutoForm, which was founded in 1995, develops engineering software for sheet metal forming simulation, primarily for the automotive industry.

Rothschild and law firms Linklaters, Lenz & Staehelin, and Latham & Watkins advised Carlyle, while Astorg was represented by Evercore, Jefferies, and law firm Paul Hastings.
