In a statement, the Saudi Central Bank stated that its guaranteed funding program for micro, small, and medium firms has been extended for another year, until March 14, 2023.

During the initial COVID-19 outbreak in March of 2020, the strategy was implemented.

It provided SMEs with deferred bank payments, concessional funding, and exemptions from loan guarantee program charges.
