The National Center for Geophysics in Bhannes, affiliated to the National Council for Scientific Research, on Friday reported that at 4:40 am Beirut time an earthquake occurred in the sea between Lebanon and Cyprus measuring 4.8 on the Richter scale about 160 km away from the Lebanese coast. It was felt by the residents of Lebanon, especially in the coastal areas.
