The judicial investigator for the crime of port explosion, Judge Tariq Bitar, met, for two days this week, with a French judicial delegation composed of a public prosecutor and investigating judges who are following the case of the port explosion.

Bitar, accompanied by the French delegation, had a field tour inside the port campus where the explosion occurred.

The port tour was followed by a meeting at the Judicial Investigator’s office in Beirut Justice Palace, where the two parties exchanged and discussed information related to the course of investigation.

The French delegation delivered Judge Bitar a technical report regarding their investigation by French investigators, provided that they will later submit a final report.
