UNIFIL’s Sector West Command provided an Italian donation, including supplies, equipment and preventive tools to clean Tyre beach which was damaged by the oil spill.

The UNIFIL Sector delivers the donation in the presence of Member of Parliament Inaya Ezzedine, the Mayor of Tyre Hassan Dbouq, the Head of Disaster Management Unit at the Union of Tyre Municipalities Mortada Muhanna, and Director of the Tyre Coast Nature Reserve Hassan Hamza.

The Italian center for civil-military cooperation (CIMIC) of the Western Sector provided the first batch of the required materials, which will be followed with other supplies in the coming few days.
