Hospitals in Lebanon
Director of “Abdullah Al-Rassi Governmental Hospital,” Muhammad Khadrin, announced “an increase in COVID-19 cases in Akkar,” noting that “the hospital is overcrowded with patients beyond its capacity.”
Khadrin called on the Ministry of Public Health in a statement to “instruct and pressure other hospitals to receive cases, because the governmental hospital is not sufficient by itself, and there are departments in the hospital for other specializations that we cannot suspend it work as it an essential need for patients.”
He pointed out that the rate of vaccination in Akkar is low, appealing to the people of Akkar to get vaccinated in order to reduce cases, “especially as we are approaching the winter season and cases are expected to increase,” stressing that “vaccines are the best solution to confront this epidemic.”
