A new batch of Lebanese residing in Ukraine arrives in Beirut

A new batch of Lebanese residing in Ukraine returned to Beirut in the early morning. Thanks to a Lebanese businessman who facilitated their trip by hosting a number of Lebanese fleeing from the bombing for free in a hotel and providing them with travel tickets to return to Lebanon, in coordination with General Security and the Higher Relief Commission.

It is noteworthy that the Secretary-General of the High Relief Commission, Major General Mohammad Khair, previously announced that “58 people from Ukraine arrived at dawn on Friday at Beirut airport, coming from Romania, after the Lebanese embassy there facilitated their affairs, in coordination with the commission.” He noted that this is in addition to 70 people who arrived on the same plane, at the expense of a Lebanese businessman in Romania.

Khair confirmed, in a statement, that “the total number of Lebanese returning at early monriing on the same plane amounted to 128, and the authority had previously secured the exit of a batch from Romania and finally arrived in Lebanon.” He explained that “a new batch will be brought soon from Poland, as soon as the facilities for their return are completed.”
