Zeina Akar, the Caretaker Minister of National Defense and Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants, met with Farah Berri, the Lebanese Ambassador to Qatar, on Tuesday in Qatar to discuss the Embassy’s operations, particularly in terms of responding to the requirements of the Lebanese diaspora.

A delegation representing the Lebanese diaspora in Qatar was then greeted by Akar. The current scenario in Lebanon was discussed in light of the poor economic scenario.

Akar, for her part, emphasized the significance of maintaining the particular relations that exist between Lebanon and Qatar, appealing for unity in the face of the current situation.

Finally, Akar hoped for a quick cabinet formation to help addressing Lebanon’s deteriorating circumstances.
