The black market dollar witnessed a significant increase as it exceeded 26,000 Lebanese pounds, where the exchange rate ranged between 26100 and 26200 Lebanese pounds, after it reached its maximum this morning to 25,500 Lebanese pounds.

On the other hand, the economic expert Jassem Ajaqa pointed out that “there is a kind of chaos and confusion regarding depositors’ money, and the state has abandoned its responsibilities.”

Ajaqa added, “In the various proposed formats, depositors’ money is not protected in exchange for the state’s acquittal of all previous crimes.”

He continued, “International support is conditional on reforms, which are laws and measures to be taken by the government, and we have not actually taken any reform measures.”
