MP Bilal Abdallah wrote on his Twitter page: “The assignment of Engineer Samir Al-Khatib, who is from Chouf mainly Iqlim Al-Kharoub, to head the Federation of the Lebanese-Gulf Businessmen Councils, amid these specific circumstances, is a sign of confidence in this man’s capabilities to carry out the exceptional tasks that his country and his people need, and a title for the stage of reconnecting what was cut off between Lebanon and the Arab Gulf states.”
