Manal Abdel Samad, the caretaker Minister of Information, was briefed by Yousef Al Mahmoud, the Palestinian Ministry of Information’s Undersecretary, on the latest developments and the situation in Palestine and Jerusalem, particularly regarding the Israeli occupation’s crimes and attacks against journalists, including the bombing of media headquarters, the firing of bullets and poisonous gas bombs at journalists.

The meeting, which took place at the League of Arab States’ headquarters in Egypt on the sidelines of the Permanent Committee for Arab Media and the Arab League Council meeting of Arab Ministers of Information, reviewed the new vision and plans for modernizing the Ministry of Information in Palestine, and discussed ways to support and develop cooperation between Palestine and Lebanon in the future.

“Preparations for the 51st session of the Council of Arab Information Ministers, as well as the outcomes of the meeting of the Permanent Committee for Arab Media to establish the centrality of the Palestinian cause in the Arab media agenda,” the two sides discussed.
