Caretaker Minister of Information, Manal Abdel Samad, wrote on her Twitter account that the fire which engulfed in Qobayat is an environmental loss.

She said: “Regardless of the causes of the Qobayat fire, this is an environmental disaster and a loss in forest wealth that cannot be compensated for hundreds of years. I hope everyone would help Qobayat and its people by putting out the fire or shedding light on it in the media. Our hearts are burning at the sight of this horrible scene.”
