Caretaker Minister of Information, Dr. Manal Abdel Samad Najd, on Tuesday welcomed in her office at the Ministry the Indian Ambassador to Lebanon, Dr. Suhel Ajaz Khan, with talks reportedly touching on general public affairs and the media situation in particular.

Minister Abdel Samad highlighted the importance of media cooperation and objective reporting of events in order to maintain credibility, welcoming “any joint media project between the two countries.”

In turn, Ambassador Ajaz khan considered that an accurate and transparent reporting of news, in particular those related to COVID-19 and the Delta variant is important, wishing that the ban decision on passengers from India would be reconsidered due to the decrease in the number of cases, especially since some European countries have already lifted this ban.
