MP Simon Abi Ramia reiterated his “loyalty to President Michel Aoun’s approach” today from Shamat, and emphasized “the Free Patriotic Movement’s loyalty to the struggle march that will be declared on May 15.”
“The same corrupt system that has been in place since 1988 is what has brought us to where we are now,” he said, adding that “citizens are divided into three categories: the corrupt, the complicit, and the honest who try to stand up to the dishonest.”
Abi Ramia called for “distinguishing between the good and the bad,” and “electing those who can complete the battle of liberation without fear or retreat.”
He urged voters to “endeavor to reveal the honorable people who have the will to work, and who will protect the people from humiliation.”
“Our date is on May 15 to renew the promise and underline that the school of honor, sacrifice and loyalty to which we belong is not subject to submission, dissemination or compromise,” he asserted.
The MP outlined the Free Patriotic Movement’s legislative path in the battle to liberate the country from corruption, starting with the law to lift banking secrecy to recovering looted funds, to the capital control bill and other reform laws.
