Abiad: The health situation is getting worse

The General Manager of Rafik Hariri University Hospital, Firas Abiad warned today (Thursday) that “the rate of coronavirus infections is still high representing 21 percent of the people getting tested, as 4,000 cases tested positive out of the 20,000  coronavirus tests that has been conducted.”

Abiad warned, during an interview on MTV, that “numbers indicate that the health situation is getting worse, especially that the number of positive cases currently were not witnessed since January.”

Health experts and hospitals have raised the voice several times before, and asked citizens to abide to the preventive and protective measures, as hospitals have reached a life-threatening point where it is unable to treat COVID-19 patients.

The country registered yesterday 46 more coronavirus deaths, and 3,581 new cases raising the cumulative number to 393,211.
