Prime Minister Najib Mikati met Tuesday at the Grand Serail with Minister of Public Health, Firas al-Abiad, over the latest developments regarding COVID.

Speaking to reporters following the talks, the Health Minister voiced concerns over hospitalization amid the growing number of coronavirus infections.

“The situation in hospitals is still under control,” he said. “But,” he added, “we must be fully ready in case the number of infections continues to rise.”
