The representative of gasoline distributors in Lebanon, Fadi Abou Chakra, said the “National News Agency” on Wednesday that the recent rise in Sayrafa’s USD exchange rate from LBP 22,000 to LBP 22,850 will result in an increase in fuel prices, which will be reflected in today’s pricing grid.

Abou Chakra couldn’t help but wonder why the USD exchange rate had continued to grow “despite the favorable political mood, especially with the return of the Kuwaiti and Saudi ambassadors to Lebanon and the restoration of relations with Gulf states.”
