Abu Chakra to “Sawt Beirut International”: Contacts made with oil importing companies to deliver to all stations

Representative of fuel distributors, Fadi Abu Chakra, revealed, to “Sawt Beirut International” website, that they are making contacts today with oil importing companies to deliver gasoline to all fuel stations in all Lebanese territories, after the confusion that occurred yesterday, and the spread of news warning of a gasoline crisis, indicating that the problem lies in securing diesel, as there is a rationing in the delivery of this substance.

Abu Chakra called on Energy Minister Walid Fayyad and the General Directorate of Oil, to expedite the unloading of diesel ships belonging to state facilities in Zahrani and Tripoli, because the quantities in the imported companies are not sufficient for the market.

He pointed out that the 85% of the price of gasoline today was calculated on the platform price of 20,200 pounds, and the rise we witnessed in prices is due to the rise in the price of oil globally, as a result of the Ukrainian-Russian crisis.
