During a meeting held in the Maronite Archdiocese in Beiteddine, the new head of Mar Maroun School – Beiteddine, Father Abdo Abu Kassem, with the participation of the school’s students’ families, the director of lessons Rabia Abu Kassam and members of the educational staff, stressed “the importance of starting the school year despite the financial and economic difficulties that schools and parents suffer from.” He said: “The Maronite Archdiocese in the Chouf will support parents to secure education for their children in the appropriate way, according to the requirements of the current circumstances, which will arise in the next month after the lifting of subsidies on gasoline and diesel.”

He pointed out that “Mar Maroun School in Beiteddine will not increase its premiums, pursuant to the directives of Bishop Maroun Al-Ammar, and there will be facilities regarding the exchange of books and the provision of part of the stationery,” provided that lessons begin on September 23, after registration began at the beginning of the month.
