Abu Sharaf: “To secure medicines and medical supplies so doctors can carry out their duties.”

Head of Lebanese Doctors Syndicate in Beirut, Professor Sharaf Abu Sharaf, warned against “the threat that is facing health sector due to painful doctors’ emigration because of the suffocating living hardship.”

Abu Sharaf spoke at the opening of the annual conference of the Lebanese Society of Endocrinology, Endocrinology, Diabetes and Fatty Diseases, with the participation of international lecturers and specialized doctors, taking into account all preventive measures against COVID-19 epidemic.

He stressed the importance of securing medicines and medical supplies so that doctors can carry out their duties to the fullest extent, and the need to monitor and hold all violators accountable, to ensure citizens’ health in these difficult circumstances.”

For its part, The Legislative Council demanded “the adoption of the laws submitted by the Syndicate concerned with the doctor’s immunity and protection from physical and verbal violence while on duty.”
