The Minister of Health, Firas Abyad, confirmed that 80% of Corona infections are for unvaccinated people. He pointed out that “in the Ministry of Health, we are fully aware of the importance of the health situation for the educational sector, and we are working to secure vaccines.”

He pointed out in a press conference that we have a genetic surveillance program for mutants, most of which are in Lebanon, the delta and its branches.

Abyad revealed that the readiness of hospitals had been increased by 30 percent.

Abyad continued, “There is an increase in the number of cases and it was expected, and this matter is not limited to Lebanon only, so hospitals must be prepared for any rise if it occurs.”
