Abyad: “International organizations and bodies show full readiness to provide required support.”

Minister of Health, Firas Abyad, tweeted: “Intense meetings took place this week to find urgent solutions to the acute drug shortages. The cooperation and seriousness shown by the various parties are much appreciated. In parallel, discussions on challenges facing hospitals will begin next week. Hoping for a similar response.

International organizations expressed full readiness to provide the required support. Cancer meds for MOPH patients, vaccines, chronic diseases drugs for PHC, fuel for public hospitals. All this will help alleviate the suffering, while work continues to find clear solutions.”
