Adwan explains the financial burden of Syria’s exodus to Lebanon

The Head of Administration and Justice Committee MP George Adwan, responded to the speech of Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad on Saturday, in which Al-Assad considered that “one of the obstacles to developing the economy is the Syrian funds frozen in Lebanese banks.”

In this regard, Adwan tweeted: “In  numbers, Prime Minister Diab, during the virtual Brussels conference, said that the cost of the Syrian displacement is 46.5 billion dollars, according to the Ministry of Finance.”

“Deposits of non-residents amounted to 24 billion and 682 million in May, of which 7 billion belong to Syrians,” he added.
