Minister of Public Health Firas Abyad said on his Twitter account one day after his appointments: “Assuming responsibility during crises and tough times is a duty towards the homeland and society.”
Abiad added: “It is an honesty that a person asks about in this world and in the hereafter. Healthcare is a major right that should be provided for humans. People are in dire need for someone who have the ability to solve their problems, not what they did before, and this is comprehensible.”
Finally, he thanked all the noble feelings that he had received, appreciating each assistant for the performance of such a difficult task.
