After wave of denunciations on attack against Archbishop Hajj, crawling towards Bkerke on Sunday

Activists called upon all sovereign and honorable Lebanese to go to the patriarchal edifice in Diman, denouncing the attack against and insulting of Archbishop Moussa Al-Hajj, and in support of Bkerke’s stances, at nine thirty Sunday, July 24, morning.

The arrest of the Archbishop of the Maronite Archdiocese of Haifa and the Patriarchal Vicar for Jerusalem, the Palestinian Territories, Amman and the territories of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Archbishop Musa Al-Hajj at the Naqoura Crossing, took an ascending turn, sparked by the statement issued by the Permanent Synod of Bishops of the Maronite Church, after its meeting in Diman.

The statement set a clear basic demand for closing the file, which is “the referral of the government commissioner to the military court, Judge Akiki, to the judicial inspection, and his removal, in addition to asking the Minister of Justice to take the necessary behavioral measures against all those found responsible for the intentional act of abuse.”
