The media office of Deputy Prime Minister, caretaker Minister of National Defense and Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants, Zeina Akar, commented in a statement on circulating news about her non-participation in the International Security Conference held in Moscow last week.”

The office confirmed that “Lebanon has officially apologized for being unable to attend the conference, as there is constant communication between Akar and the Russian ambassador, Alexander Rudakov, over various issues of concern to the two countries. The talk about Russian annoyance with Lebanon’s non-participation in the conference is groundless.”
