The head of the General Labor Union, Bechara Al-Asmar, indicated that “things are no longer bearable,” noting that “the people are suffering under economic collapse and bear responsibility and pay the price.”

He added, in a radio interview: “We called for a big move next Thursday in order to save the country. The government makes promises and is not implemented, and there is what is being worked on inside the black rooms, and this leads to collapse.”

He concluded: “What is required is solutions to the collapsed situation, otherwise there are escalating steps in the street. Things have reached a point that is no longer bearable, and there are many promises, but implementation is few.”
