After the price of a can of gasoline became 474,000 Lebanese pounds, the head of the General Labor Union, Bechara Al-Asmar, announced to Sawt Beirut International that the union demanded before “Labour Day” to raise the daily transportation allowance LVO to 150,000 pounds for the public and private sectors, since the 65,000 pounds that are given today. It was approved according to a petrol canister of 150,000, but certain circumstances arose that prevented this step from being taken before. He added that the union and the economic bodies will meet tomorrow at one o’clock to decide the next steps, stressing that there is a response in this matter.
