In a statement, Dr. Abdel Rahman Al-Bizri called for “the necessity of holding a coordination meeting between the two syndicates of doctors in Lebanon and the Pharmacists Syndicate, in order to develop an appropriate plan to confront the current and expected shortage of medicines and medical, pharmaceutical and laboratory equipment,” considering that “the health security of citizens is in danger.”

He stressed, “The absence of a clear future vision for this government and its failure to preemptively avoid falling into this crisis are among the reasons that may endanger citizens and their health security.”

Lebanon is facing an unprecedented severe economic crisis, and the citizen suffer from the shortage of medicines in pharmacies and medical equipment.
