“The parliamentary elections today constitute the democratic challenge that is required to be raised in defense of Lebanon, human freedom, dignified life, pride, violence, the state of institutions, the rule of law, the governance of the honorable and rational administration, the honest and efficient public service, the fair and independent judiciary, and full citizenship,” said Samir Geagea, the head of the “Lebanese Forces” party.

During the announcement of the electoral program of the Lebanese forces, Geagea said: “We propose an integrated solution map based on principles and steps, such as limiting weapons to the state, implementing international resolutions, affirming and protecting positive neutrality by documenting it in the Arab League and the United Nations, neutralizing Lebanon and the Lebanese from conflicts and axes, and confirming the armistice agreement, through our electoral program.”

He pointed out that “the main problems that Lebanon has been suffering from for more than three decades are bilateral: Hezbollah’s dominance over the political, security and strategic decisions in the state, and the corruption system controls all its joints.”

He also urged the public to “give us greater authority to stop the decline and initiate the required transformation.”

According to Geagea, “the Shiites are Lebanese citizens like us, but Hezbollah always attempts to abduct them and speak on their behalf.” I suppose they will profit the most from our work since, despite the “heroes” that the “party” is talking about, they are the most deprived, and we are not against the resistance, but we are with the actual resistance, and Hezbollah is the one that trades the notion of resistance the most.”
