The Presidency Press Office announced that President of the Republic, General Michel Aoun, awarded the late great head of the Supreme Islamic Shiite Council, Imam Abdul-Amir Qabalan, the National Cedar Medal (rank of grand cord) in appreciation of his national, religious, social and humanitarian contributions.

The medal will be placed on the coffin of the great deceased during his funeral, this afternoon.
