The Cabinet session, which was chaired by the President of the Republic Michel Aoun at Baabda Palace and attended by Prime Minister Najib Mikati and the ministers, ended a while ago.
In this regard, the Council of Ministers referred Al Tleil explosion case to the Judicial Council. It also discussed the possibility of giving the Central Bank an advance worth of $200 million to the Ministry of Energy to secure electricity.
At the same time, the government formed a ministerial committee charged with drawing up an economic plan for negotiations with the International Monetary Fund, and it includes advisors to President Aoun.
The government gave a period of 3 weeks to the ministerial committee to set the terms of negotiation with the IMF.
On the other hand, An-Nahar’s information revealed that President Michel Aoun had imposed the appointment of advisers to the committee that will negotiate with the International Monetary Fund.
