President of the Republic, General Michel Aoun, has met on Monday with Under-Secretary-General for Peacekeeping Operations (DPKO), Jean-Pierre Lacroix, to whom he confirmed Lebanon’s desire to extend the mandate of UNIFIL without modifying its tasks.

The President also reiterated his condemnation against the Israeli air violations of Lebanese sovereignty.
