The President of the Republic, Michel Aoun, sent a message of solidarity on the occasion of commemorating the “International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People,” in which he stated: The international community must work to end the suffering of the Palestinian people by restoring the right to its owners, stressing on securing the return of the Palestinians of the diaspora to their homes from which they were displaced and achieving a just and comprehensive peace in accordance with United Nations resolutions and the Arab Peace Initiative.

He added: Lebanon is facing several unprecedented major crises that have had negative repercussions on the Palestinian refugees who have been there since 1948, as well as those who have been displaced from the Syrian camps.
