President Michel Aoun told a youth delegation that “the terrible conditions that Lebanon is going through as a result of bad financial policies can in no way destroy our commitment to move forward in resolving their repercussions.”

“In the face of problems, no matter how great the challenges are, my steadfast choice is to embrace my entire responsibilities,” he said, “and some people have resorted to allegations to avoid facing the accompanying tasks.”

“Any reforming attitude or action we took has met numerous obstacles because the sole objective has become known locally and internationally,” he continued.

“We will establish a government capable of bearing the necessary burdens to address the accumulating difficulties, to the satisfaction of the Lebanese,” Aoun said.
