Araji: Health sector uncapable of confronting COVID

Head of the Parliamentary Health Committee, Assem Araji, commenting on the decision to resume attendance education in schools, pointed out that “if there is a commitment to the guidance and the medical protocol established between the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Education, from the moment students board the buses, until the moment they return, through distancing at school, wearing masks, and other health matters,” problems can be avoided.”

Araji explained the latest data related to Corona, saying, “Infection cases are very high and have reached the limits of 5800, and the positive percentage has reached approximately 15 percent, and according to the World Health Organization, it should not exceed 5 percent, and these numbers cause concern, especially since the health sector is in a difficult situation, and it is not capable to confront Corona as we faced it at the beginning of last year when the infections rose, because most Corona departments in hospitals were closed, and we now have 916 beds out of 2500 beds that were equipped for Corona.”
