“The unacceptable profit factor has been introduced to the vaccination process through private companies,” MP Assem Araji, head of the parliamentary health committee, said on Saturday.
“The syndicates of pharmacists and lawyers have entered into contracts with the company to inoculate parents and children but, unfortunately, they will pay $38 in cash for each individual, in addition to 40,000 Lebanese pounds for the needle’s cost and 5,000 LBP as in bank commission,” Araji wrote on Twitter.
“These profits by the companies are unacceptable,” he added.
