The Head of Parliamentary Health Committee MP Assem Araji said on his Twitter Account “Patients are paying huge hospitalization tariffs which represents the differences of the guarantor Institutions in some hospitals, equivalent to tens of millions of Lebanese pounds, under the excuse of not forming a government, and the currency collapse.”

He added: “Hospitals are obliged to purchase the medical supplies, medicines and diesel in fresh dollars.”

Araji said that the coronavirus pandemic is more merciful than the political reality, as Covid-19 is a curable disease and has a vaccine, but the political greediness is an incurable disease that cannot be treated. In fact, hospitalization has become for the rich people only.”
