Araji: we are still far from social immunity

The head of the Parliamentary Health Committee, Assem Araji, affirmed that “it is necessary to adhere to health measures, to wear masks and sterilization, and this has contributed to the recent decline in the number of corona infections.” In a radio interview, he said: We are still far from community immunity because the vaccination process must affect the largest number of the population. For now, we should take advantage of the recent closure which contributed in decreasing the number of affected . Araji pointed out, “The start of the vaccination process to this day is going well, despite some errors and defects in the platform, and I wish all Lebanese to register to receive the vaccine because it is the only way that takes us towards a safe haven.” He added: What we saw yesterday of gatherings is not reassuring, but may cause a wide spread of the virus .
